Improve your Wild Boar Hunting Stock

Looking to start or improve your hunting preserve?  Do you want it to stand out from other hunting preserves?  Stock your preserve with real Eurasian wild boars.  Let Two Rivers be your contract supplier of some of the best hunting stock available.  To a certain extent, we can breed the animals to your particular needs.  We have animals colored from blonds to blacks and everything in between.  All of the animals have been well fed and wormed.  We supply Health Certificates with each animal and handle all of the paperwork for interstate transfers.

Wild Boar Hunting Stock Farrowing & Growth Contracts

We offer a variety of animals for sale during the year and typically piglets are born in the spring and fall.  Once they are weaned, piglets are sold "in place" to buyers.  The buyers put a down payment (via a growth contract) on the animals and we then feed the piglets out to the weight specified in the contract.  When the animals reach the specified weight, the buyer is notified and takes delivery of the animals.  Two Rivers is the first in the wild boar industry to offer this type of innovative planning and pricing.  Some of the advantages of growth contracts are listed below...

  • All hunting stock animals are sold for a flat fee.  Unlike the rest of the wild boar industry Two Rivers sells hunting stock for a flat fee - not by the pound.  Buyers simply pay the contract value and get the specified number of animals.  Even if the average market price for hunting stock goes up, buyers still just pay the flat fee negotiated in the contract.

  • Gives buyers piece of mind.  With long term planning, growth contracts give buyers "piece of mind" since they know how many animals they have in reserve and approximately when they will be ready.

  • Contracts gives buyer visibility of their future hunting stock.  Buyers can come to the Two Rivers facility and see how the animals are doing.  Animals that are ready can be taken by the buyer while letting the others grow to a larger size.

  • Frequent buyers get first dibs on all breeding herd culls.  These are typically larger animals than average hunting stock.

  • Buyers get regional exclusivity.  One a buying relationship is established with Two Rivers, we don't sell to your competitors.  Simply give us a list of your regional competitors and we will honor the "no sell" policy.

  • We sell contracts for ready-to-hunt animals as well as piglets.  Two Rivers has extensive experience and documentation on raising wild boar and can help your hunting operation set up its own growing operation.  Let us do the hard part (the farrowing) and we supply you piglets to finish out.

Reasons to let us raise your wild boar hunting stock

Below are some reasons why you might not want to raise your own Eurasian swine...

  • Each Eurasian breeding animal typically needs about 1500 lbs food/year!
  • Eurasian sows typically only have 3 to 5 piglets/litter, twice a year with one runt/litter.
  • It takes, on average, 8 - 12 months for a Eurasian swine to reach 200 lbs.
  • Good tusks on the boars won't appear until around two years of age.
  • Have you every tried to catch piglets while a big, bad sow is trying to eat you?  Nuff said!
  • Breeding and growing areas occupy (and totally destroy) land that could be used for hunting.

Interstate Transfers of Eurasian Swine

Two Rivers is a stand up corporation that does its best to follow all Federal, State, and Local laws associated with the breeding, growing, and interstate transfer of these fine animals.  Two Rivers has and continues to spend considerable time and effort working with the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Illinois EPA (IEPA), Illinois Department of Agriculture (IDOA), and certified veterinarians to develop a healthy herd of Eurasian Swine.  We will handle all of the paperwork needed at our end in order to allow the legal interstate transfer of these animals.  We make it easy to be legal!
